femidoms?
i’m leaving Friday for 2 weeks in Africa. i’m only taking 1 carry on - that’s it - so packing has become art, science and obsession for me lately. i have 3 things left i think i need to buy: earplugs, luggage lock and a NY Times crossword puzzle book. i am already over-capacity, but i think i can make it work. so i was looking for some tips on the internet for what to pack for an African safari, and came upon this entry:
“Bearing in mind the widespread AIDS epidemic, syringes & needles (in more remote areas these may be in short supply) and condoms or femidoms are necessary items.”
seriously, in a list that includes first aid kit, clothesline, and a whopping total of 2 shirts, needles are included? interesting. also, i learned a new word today… femidoms. obviously female condoms, but i was unaware they had their own name now. good to know.
